Organized for Mission & Ministry

Vision and Values Leadership Team
The Vision Team is NBLC’s policy governance board. This team asks the questions "Why do we do what we do?" and "What do we do?"

Tactical Team
The Tactical Team implements our annual Mission and Ministry Plan (which also serves as the budget). This team asks, "How do we do what we do?" and "Who will do what we do?" and "When do we do it?"
Leadership Development Pathway
When Jesus "commissioned" His disciples to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), a recurring process began. Disciples make disciples who, in turn, make more disciples. But how?

Our Leadership Development Pathway provides opportunity for all people to grow in Christ beginning with newborns all the way through the end of life.
  • The pathway can be started with NBLC Kids (6 weeks to 4th grade), Confirmation Experience (5th-6th grade), Youth Groups (7th - 12th grade), Young Adult Group (18+), and Connect Groups. Other expressions on our pathway include attending NBLC events, and/or Worship...
  • We encourage people to join our Cross Training Circuit and learn about the WISDOM lifestyle.
  • From the Cross Training Circuit, new followers of Jesus will ideally join a Team Group or form a Connect Group.
  • Some participants from these Groups will become leaders by apprenticeship.
  • Faithful and fruitful Leaders become Managers of Groups from whom we identify.
  • Congregational and Ministry Directors.

This is only a caricature of the process we follow to "make disciples of all nations." As you can see, making disciples means planting more churches. By now, you know we think that "more churches reach more people and that different churches reach different people!"
