We welcome you to a “come as you are” environment that is friendly, open, safe, and inviting to all. We are a “grace-based” place that is focused on kids building lasting friendships centered on Jesus that keep them staying and growing in faith.

We know at this age, friends and fun is what kids want. NBLC’s youth ministry provides a fun environment where kids can enjoy friends, with a Christ-centered theme and weekly pizza!

Our Student Ministry program is specifically designed for 5th-12th grade youth. We meet during the months of September through April and we would love to have you join us! Check out more info about your specific grade below.

5th—6th Grade

Confirmation Experience is all the rage! This is a two year cross training event that consists of one year Bible Survey and one year Luther’s Small Catechism. The teaching is fun and interactive.

Parents are provided information on the teaching topics and are encouraged to participate in “Word Time” with their youth. Parents are also welcome to attend and grow alongside their child.

When to join us...

We meet on non-communion Sundays at 10:30 a.m. during the months of September through April. On Communion Sundays, we encourage kids to participate in worship with their parents.

7th—8th Grade

The fun continues for Middle School Youth! We have game time and Word time, with a large group gathering and small group breakouts where teens dig deeper and share life’s challenges with family, peer pressure, friendships, and all the tough stuff that bombards their world daily. We use Scripture to help guide them on life’s journey.

Parents are provided information on the teaching topics and are encouraged to participate in “Word Time” with their teen.

When to join us...

We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. during the months of September through April.

9th—12th Grade

High School Youth takes having fun to a whole new level! We still have game time and Word time with a large group gathering and small group breakouts, but the small group breakouts are designed to dig deeper into the good times and bad with their friends in a safe place.

Topics such as peer pressure, friendships, family, sex, drugs, and everything in between are discussed and guided through God’s Word. We seek to reinforce their path and equip them in the faith, so they remain in faith and are willing to share Christ’s love with others.

Parents are provided information on the teaching topics and are encouraged to participate in “Word Time” with their teen.

When to join us...

We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. during the months of September through April.

Youth Service Opportunities

Student Ministry Leadership & Teams

New Beginnings has a dynamic and committed team of parent volunteers that lead our weekly youth events.

Our Faith Journey Director, Lisa Copeland, oversees these programs. If you have any questions or would like to join our team, fill out our Contact Us form or email faithjourney@nblc.net. We would love to have you – and so would the kids!

Hang tight while we prepare your form...

“I’ve been involved in youth group for about 3 years. The thing I enjoy most is how the lessons are tailored to fit what us teens are actually going through. NBLC has made a big impact on my life.”
